Algrapporter

Rapporterna ingår i SMHIs ordinarie havsövervakningsprogram och beskriver algsituationen i Västerhavet och Östersjön samt anger förekomsten av giftiga alger.

Algrapport nummer 6, 2003

In the Skagerrak there was a diatom bloom. Dinoflagellates were not very abundant. In the Kattegat the diatom bloom developed and the potentially toxic Dinophysis acuminata decreased from very high numbers. Chrysochromulina spp. was present but not in high numbers. In the Baltic the plankton flora …

Algrapport nummer 5, 2003

In the open Skagerrak and Kattegat the plankton flora is rather poor and dominated by flagellates. In the coastal area of the Skagerrak there is a more divers phytoplankton community with some diatoms of importance. In the Baltic the plankton flora is poor, dominated by dinoflagellates. Small …

In the Skagerrak and the Kattegat the spring bloom has terminated and the plankton flora is poor, although in a late state of the bloom near the coast. In the southwest part of the Baltic the spring bloom has terminated. Further east and north the spring bloom is going on.

Algrapport nummer 3, 2003

In the Skagerrak the spring bloom is going on, although in a late state near the coast. In the Kattegat the spring bloom is passed and the plankton flora poor. In the south and west part of the Baltic the spring bloom is in different stages. In the east part of the Baltic proper the spring bloom …

Algrapport nummer 1, 2003

In the Skagerrak and Kattegat the species diversity was high, indicating a pre stadium of the springbloom. Typical spring species of diatoms, mainly Skeletonema costatum dominated. In the Baltic Sea there was a winter situation with very small amounts of phytoplankton.

Algrapport nummer 8, 2002

A winter situation with small amounts of phytoplankton is at hand. In the Skagerrak and Kattegat Ceratians and Thalassiosira punctigera are the most common species. In the Baltic Chaetoceros impressus and C. danicus together with Dinophysis acuminata, D.norvegica and Aphanizomenon sp., all in very …

Algrapport nummer 7, 2002

The amount of phytoplankton in the open Skagerrak is small, whereas the coastal station showed a rich planktonflora dominated by Ceratians. Large amounts of dinoflagellates with a dominance of Ceratium furca and Lingulodinium polyedrum were found in the Kattegat. There are still blue-green algae, …

Algrapport nummer 6, 2002

The amount of phytoplankton in the Skagerrak is relatively small and no blooms or accumulations were observed. A large bloom of the dinoflagellate Ceratium furca was found in the Kattegat. Considerable accumulations of blue-green algae, with a dominance of Aphanizomenon sp. and to a smaller degree …

Algrapport nummer 5, 2002

Considerable accumulations of blue-green algae, with a dominance of the potentially toxic Nodularia spumigena, are present in the Baltic Sea. Most algal mats around Gotland. Less, but still a lot in the Hanö Bight and in the south part of Öresund. With sunny and calm weather the blooms will …
