Expeditionsrapport från U/F Argos vecka 6, 1999

Nutrient concentrations in the surface water of the Skagerrak were mapped. High concentrations of nitrogen associated with continental river water was found in the south eastern and eastern Skagerrak surface water and at intermediate water in the Kattegatt.

Expeditionsrapport från U/F Argos vecka 4, 1998

Mapping in the Kattegat was performed. The weather was in the beginning of the cruise dominated by strong northerly to north-easterly winds and by the end the winds shifted to south and decreased. The temperatures were slightly higher than normal for the season. The nutrient concentrations were …

Expeditionsrapport från U/F Argos vecka 3, 1999

Mapping for the winter pool of nutrients in the Kattegat was performed. The weather was dominated by moderate winds from south to southwest. The sea surface temperatures as well as the surface nutrient concentrations were normal for the season. The spring-bloom had not yet started in any area. The …

Expeditionsrapport från U/F Argos vecka 49-50, 1998

The surface water temperatures were between 4.6 and 6.4°C in the Baltic, between 1.8-2.8°C in the Sound and in the Kattegat and between 3.1-5.5°C in the Skagerrak. Oxygen concentrations below 2 ml/l were found at 70 m or deeper in the southeastern Baltic, in the Bornholm Basin and Hanö Bight, at 80 …

Expeditionsrapport från U/F Argos vecka 47, 1998

The surface temperatures varied from 10°C in the Skagerrak to 3°C in the Gulf of Bothnia. The nutrient concentrations were normal for the season in most areas. Hydrogen sulphide was found at depths greater than 80m in the Bornholm Basin and Hanö Bight, and at depths greater than 150m in the eastern …

Expeditionsrapport från U/F Argos vecka 39, 1998

Surface temperatures varied between 13 and 15 degrees C. Nutrient concentrations were normal for the season in all areas. High fluorescence values were measured in the frontal zone between Skagerrak and Kattegat as well as in the northern part of the Sound. Hydrogen sulphide was found at depths …

Expeditionsrapport från U/F Argos vecka 35, 1998

The surface water temperatures were between 15-16°C in the whole area with exception of a region with upwelling south of Utklippan, where the temperature was only 7°C in the surface. Oxygen concentrations below 2 ml/l were found at depths greater than 70m in the Bornholm Basin, greater than 80 m in …
