Expeditionsrapporter från utsjöövervakningen
Rapporter från SMHIs ordinarie havsövervakningsprogram. Rapporterna är baserade på preliminära, endast delvis kvalitetskontrollerade data.
The weather was windy, from 3 m/s to 22 m/s. The surface water temperatures were between 3 and 4.5°C in the Baltic proper, 2.5 and 4.5°C i the Sound and the Kattegatt. Oxygen concentrations below 2 ml/l were found at 140 m and deeper in both the eastern and the western Gotland basins.

Oxygen concentrations in the Kattegatt bottom water were mapped. Low oxygen concentrations were found in the bottom water at Lundåkrabukten 1.95 ml/l and Skälderviken 1.51 ml/l. In the south east parts of Kattegatt the oxygen concentrations varied between 2.3 to 3.0 ml/l.

Nutrient conditions were normal for the season. Hydrogen sulphide was found in the deep water in large areas of the Baltic and oxygen concentrations below 2 ml/l were generally found at depths exceeding 60 to 80 metres in the whole Baltic Proper. In the whole Baltic proper there was a considerable …

The surface water temperatures were normal for the whole area. The nutrient concentrations were low in all sea areas with exception of HS 5 at the Jutland coast (high nitrate) and W Landskrona in the Sound (high silicate). These low values are normal for the season due to the algal blooms. Oxygen …
